How we test codes
Before a code is published
- We open the store and add an item to the cart, above the code’s minimum order if it has one.
- We apply the code and check the discount actually shows in the order total.
- We try a sale item to see whether the code works on discounted products, and note what it excludes.
- We write the test date on the code. We never complete the purchase: the test stops before payment.
After it’s published
We re-test codes regularly. When a code stops working we move it to the store’s “Expired codes” section instead of deleting it, so you don’t waste time on it if you see it somewhere else.
Where codes come from
Most codes come from the affiliate networks stores work with, and some are public codes a store announces itself. Codes marked “TickedCodes exclusive” were issued to us by the store or network.
How we’re funded
When you buy through a link on this site, the store may pay us a commission. Your price doesn’t change. Commissions don’t affect which codes we list or how we rank them: a code that fails our test isn’t published, whatever it pays.
Found a code that doesn’t work?
First check the minimum order and exclusions listed under the code. If you meet the terms and it still fails, the store has most likely ended it, and we’ll update the page on our next check.
